Let's Ride
Trail Access That’s Hard to Beat
Ellis House is the kind of place riders dream about: right in the heart of the Hatfield & McCoy Trail System, set up for big groups, and located so close to the action you’ll spend more time riding and less time hauling.
Situated at the mouth of Rockhouse on the Gilbert Community Connector (Trail 12), you’re mere tire tracks away from miles of versatile trail riding—plus the history, scenery, and local energy that make Gilbert a bucket-list stop (and home to the nationally acclaimed TrailFest).

I probably shouldn't tell you what a amazing place this is so that way I can book my next trip. But here we go this place is the cleanest nicest place I've stayed at in a long time. The owners are the nicest people I think you will ever meet. They were more then happy to answer and help us with any questions we had and got our riding permits supplied us with very good maps. Honestly my whole family can't stop talking about what great people they are. Truly the best place to stay for a large group or family!!!
This was a great place to stay for our trip to ride the HMT trails. The house was spacious, well stocked, clean and had a great location close to both the town and the trails. Large parking area, and a great setup outside the house as well with chairs, firepit, and even cornhole game for a relaxing evening. Donnie and Robin were great hosts. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay in Gilbert even if you aren't riding the trails. Very relaxing atmosphere.
Just got back from a three day stay at Ellis House. It is a great place to stay. It is located across the street from the entrance to the trail connector in Gilbert. The house was clean and well maintained with plenty of towels and other essentials provided, Donnie and Robin are great folks who did everything they could to make sure we had a great stay. The cornhole boards are a nice added touch that kept us entertained after a day of riding. If you are riding The Rockhouse trail system I highly recommend this as a place to stay.
This is the second time we have stayed here, and it want be the last!! Robin and Donnie are fantastic people make you feel like there family! The house is very very clean and nice! Trail 12 is right across the road and downtown Gilbert is a very short drive down the road! If you haven’t stayed with them before please give them a try you want regret it!!
Stayed at the Ellis House with 9 other guys, the house was super clean. Everything was great really nice place, directly across from the rock house trail and convenient to town! Will definitely be back.
